Bubba Original Veggie Burgers Review
While it was a British person that invented the Veggie Burger, there is unlikely to be a more iconic American food type than the legendary burger. Burgers are an integral feature of any successful BBQ and although it is quite easy to find some semi-decent meat-based burgers, finding a tasty veggie burger these days seems to be a very difficult task. Due to this reason, we wanted to test a number of top brands available in stores. We have tried many different types of veggie burgers and we believe we have found one of the best available on the market. Enter the Bubba Original Veggie Burger! Let’s get into it.
Bubba Original Veggie Burger Overview
The Bubba Original Veggie Burger is one I recently heard about and knew I just had to review it. Bubba Burger is a great brand that provides both meat and veggie burgers, as well as some other snack bites. Their Original Veggie burgers are made up of a variety of healthy ingredients. In addition, they have no GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms), no saturated fat or cholesterol, and just 2.5 grams of fat per burger, all in all, making them a very appealing choice on the store-shelf. They are also gluten-free, vegan-friendly, multi-grain, and a good source of fiber. One excellent benefit of these burgers is that you can cook these straight out of the freezer, which means you don’t even have to defrost them before cooking them.
Initially, when I started looking into Bubba’s Original Veggie Burger, I also began looking at their competitors and thinking about other veggie burgers on the market I had tried previously and I realized that there were so many available. But while this was the case, not many of them came close. Also, most seem to based more highly on soy where, although the Bubba Veggie Burger contains a small amount of soy, they consist of many more vegetables and less processed grains, as mentioned earlier. This not only improved the taste but also made them quite a deal healthier too.
How to cook your Bubba Veggie Burgers
As mentioned earlier, these great burgers do not need thawing and can be cooked on a cast-iron skillet in under 10 minutes or so. Be sure to pre-heat your skillet for at least a few minutes, adding in a drop of your preferred cooking spray – olive oil works great. Once your skillet is ready to work throw in Bubba’s Original Veggie Burger and fry each side for approximately 4 minutes – or at least until golden brown. If you want to make it even better, try encasing your veggie burger in a toasted bagel. Furthermore, you can squeeze some lime on top and add some roasted peppers in the side. Bubba themselves suggest adding some paprika as well as making your own homemade guacamole spread, to spread on the burger.
What makes the Bubba Veggie Burger great
We have put together criteria to work out what actually makes the Bubba Original Veggie burger a top veggie burger among its competitors. After careful consideration, we identified a number of qualities that were important in deciding on how to qualify an excellent Veggie Burger. Therefore, this list is as follows:
- Nutritional Value
- Natural Ingredients
One important factor that quite often is lacking in veggie burgers is its nutrition. While we want to trade a beef burger for a non-meat one, this does not mean we want it to be innutritious. Typically, we found that lower quality Veggie Burgers tend to lack nutrition. However, when considering Bubba’s Original Veggie Burger, it’s packed with nutrition. With no GMOs, a source of vitamin A and vitamin C, a source of dietary fiber, multigrain, and just 2.5g of fat per burger, these burgers are very nutritious indeed. Although meatless burgers are usually an excellent source of plant-based protein, it is important to check the volume of salt or fat they contain, when deciding on a Veggie Burger.
While it sounds obvious to have natural ingredients, many of the veggie burgers available in stores contain crazy amounts of what sound like scientific concoctions! The best quality veggie foods contain healthy and natural ingredients, and Bubba Veggie Burgers are just that. The bulk of this veggie burger is made up of a whole host of healthy ingredients like bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, corn, potatoes, green peas, apples, and other natural ingredients.
Up until recently many of the veggie burgers I had tried previously all seemed to have the same bland, cardboard-like taste. When we bite into any veggie burger, we should taste what they are made of; vegetables – not cardboard! The Bubba Veggie Burgers are stuffed with flavor, with lots of different options available to spruce up the flavor even more.
And finally, we have consistency and for me, this is a very important requirement. Unfortunately, due to the nature of veggie burgers and what’s available, they are often very chewy and unpleasant in the mouth. Though, this could be due to the fact that many companies try to make them more similar to the traditional beef patty. The consistency of the Bubba Veggie Burger however is perfect. Nice and soft on the inside while deliciously crispy on the outside. One thing to mention here though is that many others that have tried these wonderful burgers is that they mention that this burger falls apart when cooking it.
These burgers meet all the requirements listed above and are honestly perfect for anyone Vegetarian or otherwise. Whether you are a manic meat-lover or a vehement Vegetarian, you have to give these a try. In many other reviews across the internet, quite a lot of people have said that they served these tasty burgers to their meat-eating friends and they absolutely loved them. They are healthy, delicious, can be cooked right out of the freezer, and are full of goodness. If you are looking for a quick and healthy snack, that won’t ever let you down – get yourself some Bubba’s Original Veggie Burgers!
